**In the age of “Like, Share and Subscribe,” with an average attention span of less than 8 seconds, can we bring those characteristics into sales training? The answer lies in microlearning, which gives people the freedom to learn anytime, anywhere.**

Microlearning helps salespeople work more efficiently, keep product knowledge current and stay in step with product launches. Here are some tips for creating microlearning courses they will never forget:

Create captivating videos

Videos are the best way to share knowledge through microlearning. Sales representatives can quickly watch a video about a product's special features or a demonstration of how to use it.

The best thing about video is that it does not restrict the topic. It can improve interpersonal and technical skills or provide tips on closing a sale, negotiating and more. Through animation and visuals, videos capture attention and improve long-term retention.

Use infographics

Sales representatives are constantly bombarded with sales figures and statistics about their products and competitors' products. This is where infographics can help.

Infographics can visually represent product features and statistics, distinguish your products from competitors' products, provide step-by-step instructions for a task or simplify complex details.

Provide additional resources

The greatest advantage of microlearning is that it helps learners avoid cognitive overload. When a module contains too much information, separate “need to know” content from “good to know” information, providing the latter as an additional resource.

If your sales course covers a product's features and you also have information about accessories a representative could sell, provide links to additional articles or videos.
