Corporate learning is evolving toward short, personalized mobile modules. Discover why mobile devices are becoming the ideal training platform, offering flexibility, customization, and easy access.

Intensive corporate training and onboarding days, hours upon hours attending in-person courses and workshops, or simply sitting behind a computer listening to a virtual instructor will soon be things of the past.

The exponential growth of mobile devices, now numbering more than 7.9 billion, is encouraging companies to adopt personalized learning modules. Discover what makes mobile the platform of choice for corporate training.

Mobile platforms, anytime and anywhere

We are increasingly attached to our phones, using them an average of 150 times a day in many everyday activities. Learning can become another of those activities, with the advantage of happening anytime and anywhere: on the way home, over a mid-day coffee, or while waiting in line at the supermarket.

64% of people say their smartphone is more important than their computer or television, and nearly 60% go back for it if they leave it at home. The question is: how do you compete with the other content users can access on their phones? One of the most important elements is the ability to gamify the application, so people want to spend a few minutes advancing through stages, earning points, and outperforming their rivals.

Personalized training

Of course, content is not the same for everyone. Employees access information they need for their specialty, or information the company believes they should know. The trend in mobile learning is microlearning: small content modules lasting two to three minutes.

This makes learning more dynamic and user-friendly, because people go straight to the information they need, improving retention.

Internet connectivity

This is especially useful if the application lets users download material and access it even without an internet connection. Although internet access in Chile reaches 84%, with 81.2% accessing it from mobile devices, many Chileans pay only for data plans with free social media access and use public Wi-Fi networks. Access to company content both online and offline is an advantage, allowing people to carry useful, valuable information with them at all times.

Mobile devices will become companies' best allies when it comes to training and delivering corporate content, because these devices are already in employees' hands. It is now up to organizations to incorporate them into a strategy for improving business performance and discover their advantages.
