Measuring learning outcomes is essential to knowing whether distance education is successful.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, distance education became an approach that was here to stay, both in schools and corporate training. In businesses, it became not only a methodology but also a solution to low employee training levels.

Like in-person learning, distance education needs clear parameters for measuring results. Otherwise, tracking users' learning is very difficult.

Some options include:

  • Define general and specific learning objectives so users can be assessed against them.
  • After a set of activities and modules, conduct an integrated assessment, whether a practical application or a knowledge test.
  • Implement tools that record users' actions. Establish minimum passing criteria.

It is important to remember that measures of results can also include program participants' views, through surveys and assessments that gather information on satisfaction and their experience.
