Post-pandemic COVID-19, distance education (DE) was established as a methodology that is here to stay, both in schools and in corporate training. In the latter space, DE was not only established as a methodology but also as a solution to the low training of its workers.
Like in an in-person setting, distance education requires clear parameters to measure results. Otherwise, tracking user learning becomes very difficult.
Some options for this are:
- Establishing general and specific learning objectives so that users can be evaluated accordingly.
- For certain activities and modules, conduct an integrated assessment, whether through practical applications or knowledge tests.
- Implementing tools that record user actions.
- Establishing minimum approval criteria.
It is important to keep in mind that result measurement criteria can also come from the opinion of program participants, such as surveys and evaluations that collect information on participant satisfaction and experience.
